Jerry Shaun Hamilton, 46, of Sunbury, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the Chillicothe Veterans Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family, on May 13, 2017.
Jerry was a kind-hearted, loving and generous soul who was full of charisma, charm and had a beautiful smile.
He was born on August 12, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio, graduated from Big Walnut High School in 1988. He loved to play basketball for the Golden Eagles. He loved motorcycles, especially his Harley.
He served in the United States Army during Desert Storm stationed in Germany.
Jerry is survived by the pride of his life, his son, Jerry S. Hamilton II. He is also survived by his loving parents, Jerry D. Hamilton, of Sunbury, Ohio and Joyce (Edwards) Kaiser (Monty) of Delaware, Ohio, his best friend, loving and faithful sister, Julie Green (Steve) of Sunbury, Ohio, his nephews, Zachary, Nicholas and Steven Green, and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Jerry is preceded in death by his grandparents, Warren and Hazel Hamilton and Virgil and Jeannette Edwards.
We will love and miss him each and every day of our lives.
Our immediate family is so appreciative for all the Prayers from family, friends, but especially all of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Sherman Terrace, Bldg. 210, VA Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio, who made us feel like their family and who loved and cared for Jerry above and beyond.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017, 3:00 to 5:00 PM with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating a Service at 5 p.m. at the DeVore- Snyder Funeral Home, 637 North State Route, Sunbury, Ohio 43074 with Military Honor Service to follow.
