Jerry D. Ogle, age 71, of 18 Mermary Drive, Fredericktown, died Friday August 23, 2002 at his residence. Jerry was born December 14, 1930 at Walhonding in Coshocton County to French F. and Anna R. (Fry) Ogle and had spent his lifetime in Coshocton and Knox counties. He was a 1949 graduate of Warsaw High School and served with the U S Navy from 1951 to 1955. He retired from American National Can in Mount Vernon after 43 years employment as a lab technician.

Jerry was a life member of the AMVETS and the American Legion both in Mount Vernon and was also a member of the Mount Vernon Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife Georgene (Doup) Ogle whom he married December 15, 1952; his daughter Vicky Rine of Mount Vernon; his brother Oliver J. (Eileen) Ogle of Mount Vernon; 2 sisters Janet Ogle and Bette J. Stull both of Mansfield; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers John T. Ogle and C. Kenneth Ogle and two sisters Inza B. Kanuckle and Martha I. Gamersfelder.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside services with military honors by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council will be Monday at 11:30 AM at Amity Cemetery in Knox County.

The Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
