Jenna Mae VanBuskirk, age 16, of Cardington died suddenly with her mother Kathy Ann VanBuskirk on Friday, January 9, 2004.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 24, 1987 to Robert VanBuskirk and the late Kathy Runyan VanBuskirk. Jenna was a junior/senior at Cardington High School and had aspirations of graduating early to enroll at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware. She aspired to follow her mothers’ career in helping the developmentally disabled. She was an honor roll student, participating choir, and collected frogs.
In addition to her father, Robert VanBuskirk of Germany, she is also survived by maternal grandmother: Vella (Cavanaugh) Runyan of Delaware, paternal grandfather: James VanBuskirk of Delaware, Aunt: Deborah (Allen) Nagle of Dublin, Uncles: John (Amy) Runyan, Robert and Steven VanBuskirk all of Delaware.
She was accompanied in death by her mother Kathy Ann (Runyan) VanBuskirk, preceded in death by sister, Olivia Iris, grandfather, Gerald Runyan, grandmother, Norma Jean VanBuskirk, Great-grandparents: Edith & Floyd Cavanagh, Pauline & Robert Carter.
Friends may call Tuesday from 3 – 5 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Marlborough Cemetery in Delaware.
