Jeff Fulkerson. was a devoted Marine and he lived by the motto “Semper Fi”. Jeff, 66 of rural Mt. Gilead passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at home unexpectedly.

Born October 21, 1949 in Galion, he was the son of David C. and Virginia (Teynor) Fulkerson. He married Cindy (Ross) Fulkerson on Dec. 31, 2001 and she survives.

He attended Galion High School and worked in assembly at the former Ontario General Motors Plant retiring in 2004 after 31 years. Jeff loved the outdoors and spent lots of time mushroom hunting and fishing. He loved his guns and was a proud member of the NRA. Jeff also enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels around his home.

He served as a Marine during the Vietnam Era and was very patriotic.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, J.J. Gardner of Mt. Gilead and Lindi Osborn of Galion; grandchildren, Madelynn and Maesynn and his dogs, Bear and Tucker.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Monday, June 6, 2016 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 7, with Pastor Mark Schaeufele officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.

Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Marines and Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.

Memorial contributions may be made to Morrow County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.

  • This man was a great person!!! I only knew him shortly, but he seemed like a man that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. His dedication to his family and fellow vets was unequaled by any I know of. I had a lot of love for him even only knowing him for a very short period of time. Semper Fidelis good buddy, you will be missed.
