Jeffrey Flynn

August 23, 1959 ‒ June 29, 2017

Lexington, Ohio

Jeffrey Allen Flynn entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in his Lexington home surrounded by his loving family following a recent cancer diagnosis. He was 57.

He was born August 23, 1959 in Mansfield to parents Earnie & Zella (Tucker) Flynn. Jeff graduated from Clear Fork High School with the class of 1978 where he was involved in athletics. He worked for Neer Manufacturing over 27 years and was currently working at Stoneridge.

Jeff was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed swimming, fishing, hiking, landscaping, and just soaking up the sun while spending time with his children and grandchildren. He adored his two “little girls” and was good with all kids and animals—especially his dog Grizzy Bear.

Jeff will be remembered for his big heart and sense of humor; he could make anyone laugh and was quite the storyteller. He had a quote for everything and it was usually from a Western movie—favorites included “watch your top notch” and “you didn’t put enough dirt down.” A friend to all, Jeff will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his children Lana Fisher of Mansfield, Nina & Brock McGhee of Bellville, David & Heather Freed of Shelby, and Quentin & Nicky Hanes of Mt. Gilead; grandchildren Nevaeh Fisher, La’Naysia Fisher, Sloan McGhee, Koen McGhee, Asher McGhee, Doryin Hanes, and Kerrstin Hanes; wife Dorie Flynn of Mt. Gilead; mother Zella Stumbaugh of Bellville; siblings Jim Flynn of Lexington, Connie Eutzy of Ontario, Debbie Loup of Louisiana, Mark Flynn of Lexington, and Karen Leasure of Mt. Vernon; father-in-law Robert Davidson of Mansfield; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Earnie Flynn, step-father Russ Stumbaugh, brother-in-law Bob Eutzy, and mother-in-law Wanda Davidson.

Friends are invited to call Monday, July 3, 2017 in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home (81 Mill Rd) from 4 to 7 p.m. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Snyder Funeral Homes is honored to serve Jeff’s family and encourage you to share a memory and watch his tribute video at
