Jeanette Irene Boham Myers, 93 of Ashley, passed away peacefully Tuesday December 21, 2010 at Wintersong Village.

She was born on September 3, 1917 in Ashley to the late George and Eunice (Wilcox) Boham. A graduate of Ashley High School Class of 1935. She worked at the R. B. Powers Ribbon Factory in Ashley and then married Ralph Leland Myers on February 18, 1939. Together they farmed and raised their family southeast of Ashley. Jeanette enjoyed preserving her garden produce, collecting recipes, baking, reading and the family tradition of playing Euchre.

When Ralph passed away in 1982 she moved back to Ashley, attended Ashley United Methodist Church, joined the Senior Citizens and served as secretary. Jeanette enjoyed the Wednesday dinners at White Lily Chapel and traveling around the United States and Europe with her family.

Survived by daughters: Margaret Ann Myers of Cleveland, Nancy Lee Davenport of Delaware; granddaughter Lee Ann Myers Davenport of Cardington; sister, Bernice Bell Carnahan of Paulding; nephew, Jerry (Pauline) Carnahan of Wichita, KS, nieces, Vicki (Ron) Kadesch of Paulding, Jeri (Ed) Cleland of Rudolph, Diane Reynolds of Delaware, great nephews and nieces, Home Reach Aide of several years, Jennifer Beck and many friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Ralph; brother, Bernard Lloyd Boham; sisters-in-law: Ethel Myers, Bessie Sark, Helen Myers, Doris Kiefer; brothers-in-law, Harold Kiefer, F. Paul (Pete) Carnahan, son-in-law: Nelson Davenport and niece’s husband Carl Reynolds.

Friends may call Saturday January 22, 2011 at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William Street, from 1-2:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. officiated by Pastor Don Alexander. Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Ashley Union Cemetery. The family will host food and fellowship after the service.
