Jean Elizabeth Gaboric, age 105, of Sunbury died late Thursday night, February 8, 2018 at Countryview of Sunbury.

She was born on September 14, 1912 on Graceton, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Rura) Konkoly.

Jean married George Gaboric on October 7, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio.  They were married for 61 years before his passing on May 10, 2000.

She was a member of St. John Neumann Church and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and playing cards.  Jean was a strong willed independent woman who loved time spent with her family.

She will be missed by her children Richard (Julie) Gaboric of Centerburg, Ohio, Noreen (Richard) Krogman of White River, South Dakota, and George Allan (Patricia) Gaboric of Austin, Texas; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Bert Konkoly, Marcy Toke, Pauline Wysocki, Ann Goch, Sophie Harrison, Samuel Konkoly, and Julie Konkoly.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 East State Route 37, Sunbury, Ohio 43074.  Burial of cremains will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in New Albany.

I think she really enjoyed the celebration you arranged for her 100th birthday when family gathered from all over the country. She was the last of that generation of the Konkoly clan.
