Jean B. Quail

Jean B. Quail, age 81 of Marion passed away, Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born on August 13, 1925 in Adams County to the late Frank H. and Chloe E. (Hull) Brooks. Jean moved to Marion in 1968 from Portsmouth. Before retiring, she worked with the Harding Area Boy Scout Council as an assistant to the District Executive, the late Robert Cheetham.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her warm bright smile, compassionate qualities, and giving ways. For years she collected Hummel figurines. She also enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, activities with the Marion Senior Citizens, and trips with the Bank One retiree’s.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years: Robert E. Quail on July 21, 2000, whom she married September 28, 1952 in Adams County, Brother: Harry Brooks, and Sister: Agnes Ogden.
She is survived her family, of whom she was so very proud, Daughter: Karen (Ronald) Seiter of Dayton, Son: Ronald (Jan Chervenak) Quail of Perrsyburg, Grandchildren: Danielle, Erin Seiter, Madison Quail, Brother: Ray Charles Brooks of Pikeville, KY, and Sister: Mary Ruth Young of Cincinnati.
Friends may call Sunday 3-7 p.m. at the Denzer, Farison, Hottinger, & Snyder Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church, 249 E. Center St., Marion with the Rev’s Duane Anders and Tim Forbes officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Wyandot County.
