Jaunita M. Groseclose

Jaunita M. Groseclose, 95, of Fredericktown passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home. She was born March 3, 1922 in Marlinton, West Virginia to the late Bernard and Mattie (Gragg) VanReenan.
Jaunita married Roger Groseclose on April 3, 1940 in Pearisburg, Virginia. They lived in Washington, DC and Maryland while Roger was stationed in Bainbridge, Maryland with the Navy. In 1952, they moved to Utica and in 1957 they moved to a farm south of Fredericktown. Over the years she worked for the Better Brush Company, Lewis and Coffing IGA, Ringwalts and Rudins Department Store.
Jaunita was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Ann Hill Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Fredericktown and a member of the Green Valley United Methodist Church.
Jaunita is survived by her sons, J. Frederick (Shirley) Groseclose of Fredericktown, Richard Groseclose of Marlinton, WV and Barry (Connie) Groseclose of Mount Vernon; ten granchildren, David (Laura) Groseclose of Howard, Linda (Ron) Matthews of Mount Vernon, Jesse (Shirleen) Groseclose of Marlinton, WV, Shana (Kim McGraw) Groseclose of Portland, OR, Amy Groseclose of Williston, ND, Andy (Angie) Groseclose of Milford, Michael (Jennifer) Groseclose of Newburg, IN, Adam (Carolin) Groseclose of Madison Heights, MI, Thomas (Emily) Groseclose of Columbus and Katie Groseclose of Columbus; nine great grandchildren, Matthew and Nichole Groseclose of Howard, Ryan and Rachel Matthews of Mount Vernon, Olivia, Megan and Henry Groseclose of Milford and Jacob and Timothy Groseclose of Newburgh, IN.
Besides her parents, Jaunita was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; a son, David Groseclose; four brothers, Dale, Earl, Lake and Eugene VanReenan; and sisters, Beulah Mills and Nina Sergent.
At Jaunita’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery, Fredericktown.
