Jason R. Thatcher, age 31 of Delaware passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus from injuries sustained at construction site accident in Utica.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1971, in Delaware and was a graduate of Buckeye Valley High School Class of 1989. Jason worked in the construction field as a roofer. He enjoyed golfing, snow boarding, watching sports, playing video games as well as Playstation and socializing with his many friends at The Backstretch in Delaware.

Survived by his Son Nathan; Father David L. Thatcher of Delaware; Mother and Step-father Bev (Detwiler) Lee and Gary Lee of Delaware; Sister Jodi Thatcher; long time companion Wendy Fuller; Maternal Grandmother Margaret E. Detwiler of Delaware; Step-Grandmother Madeline D. Lee of Delaware; Aunt and Uncle Joyce and Bud Jantvold of Delaware; Cousins: Tony, Tom, and Shelby Jantvold; and many, many friends.

Friends may call at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware on Saturday from 2-4, where a Celebration of Life service will follow Saturday at 4 P.M., casual attire is requested by his family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jason Thatcher Memorial Fund, c/o Delaware County Bank, 800 W. Central Ave., Delaware, Ohio 43015. The fund will be used to establish a scholarship fund for his son: Nathan.
