Janet L. Dailey, 56, of Delaware, went home to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning at the Kobacker House, Columbus. She was born March 21, 1953 in Delaware to George and Katherine (Bobo) Heineman, who owned and operated the former Heineman Bakery on Winter Street. In her younger years, she enjoyed working in the bakery with her parents, and then later began working as a cook and in food service at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church who loved children, even though she was unable to have her own. She also enjoyed camping and making Christmas cookies and candy. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, William “Bill”; sister, Mary Heineman of New Carlisle; 2 brothers, David (Pat) Heineman of Pandora, Ohio and Terry Heineman of Arizona; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Barbara Heineman in 1991. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
