Jane C. “Jamie” Gale, age 65 of Delaware, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family Saturday evening October 26, 2013 at her home.

She was born on July 29, 1948 in Delaware to the late Wesley David and Sarah Jane (Graham) Newell. She was a member of the East Side Mission Church and a Columbus Zoo Docent. She worked as an inspector at Liebert Corp. with 35 years of service.

Jane was a family person and loved her family and the time spent with them. Her children and grandchildren were the apples of her eye. Jane was an accomplished painter and loved to travel , especially the trip to Alaska with her son Ryan. Jane loved being outdoors, wildlife, nature and all animals.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years: Kenneth “Kenny” Gale and they were married July 20, 1971 in Delaware; sons: Ryan of Tampa Florida, Kendall of Shreveport, Louisiana; daughter: Deanna Kempf of Lebanon; grandchildren: Kris Gale of Slidell, Louisiana, Hunter and Trevor Kempf of Lebanon; sister: Sarah (Richard) McCabe of Dublin.

Preceded in death by her brother: James Wesley Newell.

Friends may call Thursday one hour prior to the 7 p.m. Memorial Service at the East Side Mission Church, 32 Joy Avenue, Delaware, Ohio 43015 with Pastor Donnie Akers officiating.
