James F. “Jim” Wyant, 88, of Delaware passed away Friday evening January 22, 2010. He was born July 14, 1921 in Elm Grove, West Virginia to Jerry and Minnie (Johnson) Wyant. He was long time resident of Central Ohio communities and retired as maintenance supervisor for the city of Upper Arlington. He served his country during World War II in the Navy as a member of the Sea Bee’s from 1942 through 1944. He attended Radnor Baptist Church and was a 50 year member of the Free & Accepted Masons, York Masonic Bodies. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and times spent with family. He is survived by his daughters, Toni (Donald) Reynolds of Delaware, Julia “Judi” James of St. Petersburg Beach, Florida, and Gerri (Terry) Baxter of Radnor; niece, Patti (Scott) Harris of Hilliard; grandchildren, Brian (Holly) James, Christopher James, Darrin (Andrea) Reynolds, Jaime Reynolds, Robbie (Beth) Baxter, Andy (Jessica) Baxter, Tara (Chris) Jenkins; 5 great grandchildren, Jocilyn, Alex, and Libby James, and Ethan and Eli Baxter; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Faye, brother Jerry, and 3 sisters Emma Jean Huffnagle, Eleanor Marcin, and Sally Andrews, and a son in law Larry James. Private burial services will be held at the family’s convenience in Radnor Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Radnor Baptist Church, 4050 Radnor Road, Radnor, Ohio 43066. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rodman Neeper Funeral Home.
