James Stanley “Jim” Williams, age 66, of Mount Gilead, passed away Friday afternoon, September 11, 2015, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born on July 23, 1949, in Cardington, OH, to the late Elva A. and Hazel L. (Allen) Williams-Zentler. Jim attended Northmor High School.

Jim spent his working years in Los Angeles, CA as a mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Petronila (Barranco) Williams of Los Angeles, CA; children: Jimanna (Richard Clark) Williams-Clark of Mount Gilead and Petrona (Cadet Clement) Williams-Clement of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren: Crystal, Kymberly, and Skylynn Clement of Los Angeles; sisters: Shirley Baker of Cardington and Karen Leary of Marion; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Laura L. Williams.

His family will greet friends on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead. A graveside service will begin at 1 PM, at Bethel Cemetery, in Cardington, with Pastor Kelly Melvin officiating.
