James R. Pahl, age 62, of New Gambier Road, Mount Vernon, passed away on Saturday, November 05, 2005 at the Knox Community Hospital. He was born November 16, 1942, in Mount Vernon, Ohio the son of the late Robert and Louise (Bell) Pahl. James was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1962 to 1966. He had been employed at the Flexible Corporation for 32 years, and more recently, had worked at Mansfield Plumbing for 5 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved sports, particularly the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians.
He is survived by a daughter Jamie Pahl of Mount Vernon, a son Chris Pahl of Mount Vernon, two sisters; Charlotte (Bob) Patterson of Mount Vernon and Janet Courson of Mount Vernon, two nieces, three nephews, one great-niece and one great-nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Cory Pahl.
Friends may call on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, at 10:00 A.M. in the Bunker Hill Cemetery with Pastor Roger Tickle officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
