  • Dear Billups family. I am so sorry to have read of the death of James. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4. (Please read) May God give you and your family comfort in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they are resurrected. With deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.

  • Helen,
You and your family are being kept close at heart during this difficult time! Because you’re very special and mean so much, please know that you are kept in heartfelt thoughts each day! I pray that good memories of your dad will bring you strength and peace!
Please let me know what I can do to help you in this time.

  • Helen, we are so sorry for your loss. To reiterate Sally’s sentiment, ‘I pray that good memories of your dad will bring you strength and peace!’ We all love you, and are here for you.

  • Dear Anita and Helen, I hadn’t seen James since I was a little girl. What I remember is that he didn’t say much but he always had a good-natured smile on his face, and he was incredibly handsome! I know he was a good man and that you’ll miss him very much. Sending you all my love…Linda

  • Daddy the only time I will miss you is when I am breathing..I kept my promise and I will see you on the other side of the stars. Love you forever. Helen

  • Helen,

You are in my thoughts through this difficult time. When daddy’s little girl loses her father, a small part of her passes also. But you can never lose the memories of all the special times you spent together. May the memories bring your heart joy and a smile to your face. I do have to admit, I will never be able to clean my glasses again without thinking of your dad. It always brings a smile to my face. I wish I had been able to know him, because I just love the daughter he created.

  • Now and in the days ahead, may Jesus our God of comfort hold you all in the palm of His has as you remember James’ life legacy and celebrate his homegoing to Heaven, alive and well with our risen Lord. He will not be forgotten in the hearts of all who knew him. ‘It is well, it is well with my soul’. needhim.org

  • Helen, it’s been many years since we’ve seen each other, but every time i go by the house in Worthington i think of you and your family. I know how painful losing your dad is, and i can tell you that memories become like gold nuggets. You have to hold to the promise that your dad, who i remember as a quiet, yet strong, person is still watching out for you!!
