James Nolan Redinbaugh, 68, of Ashley died Friday evening at Grady Memorial Hospital. He was born December 8, 1938 in New Paris, Ohio to Charles Redinbaugh and Beatrice (Kirby) Redinbaugh. He retired from the United States Navy after 22 ½ years and as a chef from the Veterans Memorial in Columbus. Until recently, he had been a cook at the Flying J Travel Plaza, Sunbury. He was a member of the VFW Post # 8736 of Sunbury and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia (Thompson); 2 sons, James Nolan Redinbaugh Jr. and Thomas Charles (Angel) Redinbaugh of Ashley; 2 daughters, Lisa (Randy) Wright of Alabama and Wanda Redinbaugh of Texas; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers John and Truman Redinbaugh. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday November 26th at 3:00 pm at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 307 E. High St., Ashley with Rev. Donnie Akers officiating and the Delaware County Veterans Association providing military honors. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of services.
