James Haas, 78, of Delaware passed away late Saturday evening February 11, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his son and daughter. He was born August 3, 1933 in Delaware to Francis and Ethel (Curtis) Haas. He served his country in the United States Army and later retired from Ohio Wesleyan University. He was a member and former altar boy for St. Mary Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of the Delaware Eagles #376. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by a son and daughter and her husband of Delaware, a brother and a sister. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, 2 sisters and a brother. Graveside services will be held on Saturday February 18th at 11:00 am at St. Mary Cemetery with Rev. Fr. James Black officiating.
