James E. Zinser

James E. Zinser, 70 of Sunbury and formerly Fancher Road, Westerville, passed away Tuesday evening at his residence following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Born on May 2, 1940 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to the late Joseph and Madeline (Ormund) Zinser. Graduate of North High School Class of 1958 and a retired production technician for Anheuser Busch with 33 years of service. Member of the Karl Road Baptist Church.
Jim enjoyed working and he would work many hours at the brewery plus yard work and gardening at home. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and he enjoyed time spent on vacation in Florida with his sons. Bowling, playing on the softball team at work, fishing, telling stories and playing the lottery were pastimes he enjoyed. Never one to know a stranger he was loved by all and a good steak and potato meal would keep him happy.
Survived by his loving wife of 40 years: Judy (Lybarger) Zinser and they were married August 1, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio; sons: Troy (Carol) of Sugarloaf Key, Fl., Trent of Naples, Fl., Chad (Jeri) Zinser of Reynoldsburg; daughter: Gina (Mike) Colegrove of Sunbury; grandchildren: Taylor, Mason, Makenna, Jordan, Tyler, Chelsea, Lindsey Trey; brother: Tom (Judy) of Gahanna; sister: Mary (Dave) Norris of Norfolk, Va.
Preceded in death by brothers: William and Richard.
Friends of the Zinser family may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury and one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service Saturday.
