James E. “Jim” Walker, age 67 of Mt. Vernon, unexpectedly Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at Knox Community Hospital, Mt. Vernon.
He was born on August 31, 1935 in Dayton to the late Edwin W. and Anna (Moore) Walker. A US Navy Veteran and former V.P. of South Texas Drywall. He was a supervisor for Table Rock Construction and member of Carpenters Local No. 200, Buckeye Lake Eagles Lodge No 2801., and Past President of Columbus Rabbit Breeders. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and loved animals.
Survived by wife of 47 years: Barbara (Goodman), Children: Debbie (Don) Siewertsen of Clinton, MI, Jamie Walker of Dallas, TX, Kelli A. (Geoff) Dillon of Worthington, Shawn M. (Michelle) Walker of Sunbury, Grandchildren: Chrissy (Shane) Benvenuti, Nick Siewertsen, Mitchell Dillon, Amanda Dillon, Roni Walker, Allie Walker, Great-grandsons: Dominic, Nathaniel, Sisters: Julia Walker, Parents-in-law: Les & Gi Gi North, family and a host of friends.
Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held Friday 2:00 p.m., Pastor Wayne Booth officiating. Burial with military honors in Burnside Cemetery.
