James E. Arnett

James E. Arnett age 69 of Marion passed away Saturday May 14, 2011 at Community Health Care Center. He was born May 23, 1941 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Claude and Roberta (Helton) Arnett.
He graduated in 1959 from Everts High School in Harlan Ky. James married Linda L. (McIntire) Arnett on May 7, 1983 and she survives in Marion.
He was employed with Tecumseh Products for over nineteen years and retired from Kable Fullfilment in 2003. Jim enjoyed camping, drawing pictures, carpentry and woodworking and he was an avid NASCAR fan. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by two daughters Mindy Arnett (BenSwartz), Kimberly (Jeremy) Eblin of Marion, two sons James D. Arnett of Tennessee, Thomas P. Arnett of Delaware, Oh., Mother in Law Ada C. McIntire, twelve grandchildren, Ethan, Noah, Bryce, Haley, Tessa, Brayson, James Jr., Alex, Chelsea, Nathan, Jed, Sheila, one great-grandchild Dakota, dear friends Garland and Thomas Loving and Sue Beard.
Preceding Jim in death are a sister Betty Cowans and father in law Herbert J, McIntire.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Rev. James McIntire officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Marion County United Veterans Council conducting Military services. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
