  • Jake’s smile and love will never be forgotten by our family. We are so very sorry for your loss.

  • I am so very sorry for your loss.
Jake dated my granddaughter for awhile in high school. He was always so polite when he came over. It truly breaks my heart to hear of his passing.
May God bless you in the hurting time.

  • I did not know him but losing a person this young is so hard my heart breaks for you but remember the Bible says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous so you will see him again my condolences to you and your family at this very trying time

  • Our family is so very sorry, Jake was a friend of my grandkids and played football with Eric our oldest. The boys were reminiscing the other night, its heartbreaking. I pray that you find peace in this hard time and through the years. Praying for your family and the community of young people who will no doubt feel this loss.

  • Jake was in the first PE class I ever taught. He was always respectful and had fun. Last year we worked out for about 6 weeks, 1 night a week in Galion’s wrestling room working on MMA stuff. He truly loved MMA and teaching it. He was a brother and a friend to me. I love you Jake and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. He is in Jesus’ arms now and always will be. Amen.

  • To Michael and Denise,
I just wanted to let you know how much my family loved Jake:) and what an amazing son you raised, but I am sure that you already know that:) Jake was silly, had a great smile, he was sweet, kind, and had an amazing heart! Jake grew up with my girls and would come over to our house to hang out, come to our family gatherings /parties, and even show up at my mother in laws for our big family dinners! Oh and did that child love to eat! He would always rave about our cooking- he definitely knew the way to our hearts! We loved having Jake around because he was fun and had a giant heart! Oh and did I mention that no one ever messed with my girls, because Jake wouldn’t have it. We always knew if they were with Jake we didn’t have to worry about other people hurting our girls! Not that they didn’t do silly teenage things like trips to the reservoir to jump off into the water, trips to Mary Janes grave and a lot of silly teenage things that I probably don’t want to know about lol . The entire family loved Jake and even though he wasn’t blood we considered him part of our “clan”. Jake will always hold a very special place in all of our hearts and he will be remembered with that great big grin on his face! Thanks for raising such an amazing son that was able to touch and make such a lasting impression on so many lives! God bless ❤️
    Love,
    Heather Thompson

  • Jake was a very special friend to all my grandsons, and he is leaving a giant void. He had a brilliant mind and was much loved by all. We are praying for peace and comfort for all those affected by the loss.

  • Michael and Denise, Jake was a special young man that was just good to his core. I called Jake many times to help me move furniture, move tanning beds into our store and most importantly to look after Cady at the house. Jake always said yes, and helped with a smile. Cady would tell me stories of losing her Dog and Jake searching the neighborhood to find her. Jake would come walking back with a huge smile on his face while carrying a giant dog. This was Jake, always helping, always caring and always doing it with a smile. I remember how happy he was at his graduation party just being amongst so many family and friends. We are going to miss him so much but we will always have Jake in our hearts, always.

  • Denise, I am so sorry! I can’t imagine what you all are going through. I have read the condolences and sounds like heaven gained an amazing young man. I pray God comforts you all and carries you during this time.

  • I cannot imagine how hard this is for you and the family Denise. My prayers are for all of you to let God cover you in his love and wrap you in his arms for peace and comfort. All of us love you all and Gods blessings be with you.

  • Denise, I am So very sorry for your loss! My heart absolutely breaks for you and your family. Jake sounds like he was an absolutely Wonderful young man, and he will be missed greatly! My daughter Brailyn graduated with him, and my nephew also hung around with him, and they both thought very highly of him. I pray that the Lord will comfort you and your family until you are reunited with Jake in Heaven ♡

  • I hope you can find comfort in your memories and strength in GOD during this most difficult time. Our sincerest condolences.

  • Dear Jake I want to say thank you for all your help and the respect that you shown me as a parent and a friend of the Galion Football program. You will be missed Dearly.
