Jaime J. Fisher, 45, of Galion went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loved ones on November 1, 2015.

Jaime loved the Lord as his personal Savior and his faith was evident to all who knew him. He had a passion for people and was loyal beyond measure. He knew no stranger and was always concerned about how others were doing. Jaime was a loving husband and devoted father who loved spending time with family, friends and his church family. He actively served in ministries at Gospel Baptist Church and closely worked with and loved teens.

Jaime was born June 2, 1970 in Phoenix, Arizona and was a graduate of Temple Christian School in 1988. He loved his job, and his Lifetouch family, where he worked for 22 years. He enjoyed collecting comic books, playing euchre, grilling out and watching movies. Jaime married the love of his life, Lisa (Kelly) Fisher, on June 21, 1991 and they enjoyed nearly 25 years together.

In addition to his wife he is survived by children Leah Fisher and Jesse Kelly, both of Galion; mother Linda (Courtwright) Fisher of Galion; twin brother Jeff Fisher of Clinton Township, Michigan and sister Cindy Fisher of Galion and a half brother, Roger Fisher of Mansfield. He was very close to his in-laws, Jack and Linda Plew and family friends Joe and Teresa Frizzell and numerous nieces and nephews including a special nephew Aaron “Shane” Kelly.

He was preceded in death by father Burton Fisher and father-in-law Larry Kelly.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Gospel Baptist Church, 5670 State Route 19, Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 6 with Pastors Mike Neumann, Seth Ellis and Steven Hodges officiating. • It was an honor and a blessing to have known this extraordinary man who was, not only a valued and dear friend, but an amazing brother figure. Jamie always put others’ needs ahead of his own, and his faith and spirit never faltered. He was an inspiration to all who knew him.

His love and compassion for others was unwavering. May he walk side by side with the Lord in Paradise, and may God’s angels sing their praises at his Homecoming.

Prayers will be always to Lisa, who is also as strong and inspiring as her husband. And to Leah and Jesse, as well at the loss of their father.

We may have lost a brother, but Heaven gained another angel. Peace be with you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. This world could use more people like Jaime in it. I will never forget him as a friend and as someone I looked up to a lot. I will pray for your family continually in these hard times.

  • Lisa, Leah, Jesse, and the entire Fisher family:
What a blessing Jaime has been to this community and church family! The word “loyal” written about in his obituary sums it up for me. Not only was Jaime found faithful here on earth, but he was truly a loyal individual to God’s work, people he came to know as friends, and to his family. As said the last time we spoke, until we see each other again…
    Love you guys!!
    Steve and Konda Entenmann

  • Jaime will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He really was quite an encouragement to all. With his work done here on this earth his work in heaven has just begun. To God be the glory!! All of heaven will rejoice as Jamie’s stepped into the very presents of God. And I’m sure I can hear the Lord saying well done my my son.

  • Lisa and family,
Jaime was an amazing man and will never be forgotten. Jaime was always there for anybody. I lived Jaime like family. If you guys need anything just ask.
Rest in paradise Jaime. Gone but never forgotten.
    God bless,
    Brendan

  • I was stunned to see Jaime’s passing. I worked with him at Lifetouch for 13 years. Couldn’t ask for a better guy. We talked a lot about our mutual passion which was comic books. Last time I saw him was a few years ago at comic con in Columbus.

My prayers are with his family and friends. Bless you.

  • Dear Lisa, Leah, and Jesse,
I was shocked and so sorry to hear of Jaime’s passing. It was a pleasure to have worked with him many years in the print shop at Lifetouch. He was a great co-worker, great friend, and his very life was a great testimony for Jesus Christ. He was probably the most positive person I have ever met, and if you were having a bad day he would always say or do something that would bless you and make it better.
As he was in my thoughts and prayers during his battle with his illness, you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this time. May God grant you comfort, strength, and fill you with His peace.

  • Jamie was such an amazing guy! I still think about when u guys 1st got married, and he was half asleep when we invited you two for supper, and u didn’t show up, cause he for got to write it down. 🙂 He felt so bad about it, that he got me flowers to make it up to me.
