Jacquelyn S. Wright, age 70, of Marion died Friday morning, September 21, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born July 2, 1937, to the late George and Ruth (Straight) Bice, in Fairmont, West Virginia.

On July 3, 1958 Jacquelyn married Malcolm H. Wright in Shinnston, West Virginia.

She graduated from the Fairmont School of Nursing, Fairmont, West Virginia.

Jacquelyn was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Marion where she was active in the Noren Circle, choir and the women’s care group and a member of PEO Charter BP.

She enjoyed going on mission trips, having gone to France, Oklahoma and Alaska with the American Baptist Women’s Association. In keeping with her commitment to others she was also a volunteer with Civitan’s Camp Help, for Mobile Meals and Quality of Life Hospice all of Marion

In addition to her husband, Jacquelyn is survived by her four children: Herbert James (Linda) Wright of Nashville, Tennessee, Diana (Jeff) Smedley of Nashville, Tennessee, Larry Alan Wright of Brownsville, Texas and Brian Lee Wright of Nashville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren: Brandon, Eric, Ryan and Dylan Wright, Tiffany, Keaton and Karleigh Smedley; two brothers: George (Marge) Thomas of Kingsport Tennessee and Robert Bice of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister: Janet “Jodi” Bice of Shinnston, West Virginia; one half brother: Richard Cunningham of Tiffin, Ohio; five nieces and nephews: Scott Bice, Donna Hulsey, Leesa Roller, Rhonda Minnis and Krista Hodges; and her Ohio sister: Gwenn Thomas of Marion.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 22, 2007 from 4 to 7 pm at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 23, 2007 pm at the Trinity Baptist Church, 244 South Main Street, Marion, with Dr. Rick Farmer officiating. The family will also receive friends on Monday, September 24, 2007 from 1to 3 pm at the Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike Street, Shinnston, West Virginia 26431, with committal services to follow in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery, with the Rev. Ivan K. Hawkins officiating.
