J. June Tobin

J. June Tobin, age 81, of Mount Vernon passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Country Court Nursing Home.

She was born on April 19, 1936 in Morrow County, Ohio to the late Delbert and Katherine (Pauline) Tobin. June graduated from Chesterville High School in 1954 and later received her Business Degree from Mount Vernon Business School.  She was employed as a secretary at Mansfield Plating.  June was a member of the Ohio Eastern Star-Evelyn Chapter #146 Chesterville where she was a former Worthy Matron.

She is survived by her sisters Judy Compton and Sally (Bob) Ford; her brother Michael Tobin; her nephew Scott (Jessica) Harmon; her niece Kym (Craig) Harmon-Peterson; and numerous other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her brothers H. Arthur Tobin and Vaughn Tobin; and her sister Betty Lou Ebersole.

In keeping with June’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.
