J.C. Webb, age 65, of Wooster Road, Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born on April 9, 1941, in Grundy, West Virginia, the son of the late Charles E. and Alpha (McClanahan) Webb. J.C. was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1961- 1962. He was a retired machinist from the Chattanooga Glass Company. J.C. had a passion for classic automobiles, restoring two 1955 Ford Hardtops and a 1955 Ford Sunliner. He was also a member of the Ford Crown Victoria Association.
He is survived by his loving wife Penny (Ressler) Webb, whom he married September 3, 1960, a son and daughter-in-law Robert Alan (Pam) Webb of Johnstown, Ohio, a daughter Teresa Webb of Danville, Ohio three grandchildren; Nathan and Jay Kunzi and Samantha Webb, two brothers; Raymond (Joanne) Webb of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Norman Webb of Mansfield, Ohio, a sister Lucille (Gene) Deskins of Delaware, Ohio, a brother-in-law Richard (Doris) Ressler of Mount Vernon and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St. Mount Vernon with Reverend John E. Bryant officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
