Imogene J. “Jean” Friend

Imogene J. “Jean” Friend, age 62, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at the Ohio State University Medical Center following a three month illness.
On January 20, 1947, Jean was born in Ironton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harold and Annabelle (Vickers) Stamper. She graduated from Ironton High School.
A loving homemaker, she lived to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren. With her grandchildren, she loved to do anything they were doing, anything from coloring to making crafts.
A bingo fanatic, she was ready to play any where and any time, you can name a place where they played bingo and she had played there.
She will be dearly missed by her two daughters: Lisa (Orlando Buentello) Friend, and their children: Hannah, Hayden, and Haileah; and Amy (Calvin) Moor, and their daughter, Ashton, all of Marion; a brother, Harold Friend of Ironton; and two sisters: June Chatfield and Connie Nenni, both of Marion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jami Friend; and son, Larry Friend.
Her family will greet friends on from 5 – 7 p.m. on Monday, July 6, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion, where services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., with Minister Russell Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
