Hoy Richard Young

Hoy Richard Young, 74, of Colony Drive, Fredericktown, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon following a brief illness.
He was born on January 11, 1934 in Fredericktown, a son of the late Hoy C. and Leona (Reed) Young.
Hoy retired from Rolls Royce in Mount Vernon. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fredericktown and was an avid Nascar fan. Hoy was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Hoy is survived by his loving wife, Kay (Algire) Young whom he married on December 24, 1953; a son, Ronald (Rebecca) Young of Miamisburg, Ohio; a daughter, Deborah Hill of Blacklick, Ohio; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Madison Young, and Trey Hill; a brother, Karl Young of Colonial Heights, Virginia; a sister, Geraldine Cook of Madison, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Hoy was preceded in death by a son, Mark Young and a sister, Jean Levering.
The family will receive family and friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Snyder Funeral Home, 33 East College St., Fredericktown. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in Forest Cemetery, Fredericktown with Pastor Mary Miller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Ohio Eastern Star Home Medical Equipment Fund, 1451 Gambier Rd., Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
