Howard V. Morris, age 81 of Westerville formerly of Plum Boro, PA died early Sunday morning, November 30, 2008 at St. Ann’s Hospital.

He was born on January 17, 1927 in Westmoreland County, PA. A US Marine Corp veteran of WW II, he retired from Copperweld Inc., where he worked a national sales representative.

First and foremost, he loved his family and treasured time spent with them. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and coaching baseball, as well as playing cards, watching the Steelers, and “throwing shoes”. With a passion for golf, he especially enjoyed his many golf trips down South with “his boys”. A big kid at heart, he will be remembered for his laughter and jovial personality. His legacy of love for family, country, and zest for life will live on in his family.

He is survived by children: Laura Lynn (Ronald) Runski of New Kensington, PA, Dennis Bridge of Columbus, Sharon (Brian) Leary of Columbus, Mark (Laura) Morris of Thornville, Jeffry (Heidi) Bridge of Delaware, Cindi (Craig) Snyder of Marion, Cindy McGrail of Westerville, 15 Grandchildren, and 9 Great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wives: Doris (Steele), Phyllis (Millar) Bridge, daughter Coleen Peerenboom, and Great-granddaughter: Mariposa Snyder.

In keeping with his wishes, services will be held at the family camp in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Arrangements entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Delaware.
