Howard Brewer, 87, of Delaware passed away early Thursday morning March 27, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 8, 1926 in Wayne County, West Virginia to Joseph Brewer and Virginia (Marcum) Brewer.
He served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy and later worked in maintenance for McDonalds Restaurant for over 20 years.
Left to cherish his memory is his spouse Judith “Judy”; sons Rayburn Brewer of Columbus, Ernest Brewer of Delaware, Jerry (Sheryl) Brewer of Pataskala and Bradford (Nikki) Brewer of Los Angeles, California; daughter Kathy Graves and her companion Patrick Kennedy of Columbus; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters Velva Marcum and Betty Jane Mattney of Fort Gay, West Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Herman Howard Brewer, brother William Brewer and 2 sisters Charlotte Spaulding and Hazel Marcum.
The family will receive friends on Sunday March 30th from 1:00 pm until time of funeral services at 3:00 pm at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Monday March 31st at 11:00 am at the St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery in Cridersville, Ohio near Lima.
