Herbert E. “Herbie” Pack

BUTLER: Herbert E. “Herbie” Pack, 64, of Dunn Road, Butler, died Sunday evening May 21, 2006 in his home, following a long illness.
He was born January 2, 1942 in Boons Camp, Kentucky to Willie and Ethel (Parker) Pack, and had lived in the Butler area since 1970.
Herbie retired from HiLo Trailer Company in Butler, where he worked ten years as a welder.
He was a member of Dean Road Free Will Baptist Church, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. An avid fisherman, Herbie liked watching baseball, closely following the Cleveland Indians.
Herbie’s deep faith in God was characterized by his constant willingness to help others ~ always available to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Charlotte Pack; his children and their spouses Tama and Steve Harris in California, Herb and Dawn Pack of Delaware, Gena and Mark Brokaw of Lexington, Chad and Lisa Black of Mansfield; Trent Black of Bellville and Michelle and Dale Epps of Mansfield; 17 grandchildren; brothers and sisters Willie and Joy Pack of Butler, Betty Hayden of Winchester, Kentucky, Linda Williams of Lexington, Tennessee, Anna and John Straits of Killbuck and Junie and John “Jay” Hall of Tomahawk, Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends this evening, Tuesday, May 23, 2006 from 5-8 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am. The Revs. Virgil Masters and Earl Tackett will officiate. Burial will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
