Henry H. “Herb” Kazee, age 71 of Cardington died early Sunday morning, April 7, 2002 at his home following a 6 year illness.

He was born on March 11, 1931 in Skaggs, KY to the late John A. and Alma M. (Sparks) Kazee. US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Retired machinist from Techni-Glass, he moved to Cardington in 1985 from Westerville.

Member of Pines Christian Church, Mt. Gilead, former member of American Legion Post #710, attended the Westerville Church of Christ.

Herb collected hugs, enjoyed his children and grandchildren, hunting, jazz music, history, reading.

His is survived by his loving wife of 51 years: Annabelle Taylor, whom he married June 15, 1950 in Columbus, Daughters: Deborah M. (Allen) Swank of Orient, Kristine A . (Russell) Barnett of Hillard, Sons: Kenneth A. (Fiancé Susie) and Jeffrey D. both of Cardington, Timothy D. (Jessica) Kazee of Columbus, 9 Grandchildren: Donald, Tiffany, Phillip, Daniel, MaryAnne, Brandi, Noah, Hayden, Isaac, 2 Great-grandchildren: Ashley & Drew, Nieces, Nephew and The Pines Church Family.

Preceded in death by brother: Hubert Kazee in 2000.

Friends may call Tuesday 4 – 5:00 pm at The Pines Church, 6775 US RT 42, Mt. Gilead, OH, where funeral services will follow Tuesday 5:00 p.m. with military honors, Minister Neil Gilliland officiating. DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Marengo are assisting the family with arrangements.
