Hazel M. Dauchy, age 83, of Chesterville, OH formerly of Willowick passed away on Thursday evening, March 8, 2012 at the home of her daughter surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 4, 1928 in Cleveland, daughter of the late Harry W. and Sarah Emily (Snell) Malbon.
Hazel was a 1947 graduate of Shaw High School in East Cleveland. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 202 in Willoughby and the Telephone Pioneers of America in Polk County, Florida. Hazel enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Hazel is survived by her children, Ellen (David) Varecka of Lancaster, NY, Nancy (Garry) Shaffer of Chesterville, Sarah (Dan) Grill of Eastlake, and Amy Glenn of Willoughby Hills; and12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by the love of her life for 62 years, Edward P. Dauchy and a sister, Harriet (Leroy) Dauchy.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Snyder Funeral Home, 33 East College St., Fredericktown, OH. Pastor Timothy Ruch will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.
