Hazel M. “Curly” (Tharp) Fisher, 80, of Mount Gilead, Ohio died Sunday September 25, 2005 at her home.
She was born in Sunbury, Ohio on October 24, 1924 the daughter of the late Marion T. and Lucy (Ufferman) Park.
She worked as a home health nurse before her retirement.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cookbooks, collecting angels and dolls, but most of all she loved giving.
She is survived by her husband W. Carter whom she married on April 23, 1989, her daughter Sara Fulk of Mount Gilead, two sons, Fred (Gay) Tharp of Marengo, Ohio and Charles “Sandy” (Brenda) Tharp of Marion, Ohio, six grandchildren; Stacey Tharp, Samantha Caulkins, Laurie Fulk, Tiffany Wuertz, Chuck Tharp, Alyssia Tharp, three great grandchildren; Kaitlin Wuertz, Ashlee Tharp, and Adrian Wuertz, two brothers; Gene (Norma) Park of Ashley, Ohio, and Mike (Geri) Park of Marengo, Ohio, three sisters; Linda (Duane) Morris of Bellville, Ohio, Jane (Don) Ulrey of Marengo, Ohio, and Betty (Fred) Preston of Mount Gilead, Ohio, two step daughtes; Peggy (Chuck) Hunt of Fredericktown, Ohio and Sue (Doug) Muffley of Mount Gilead, and two step sons; Richard Smith of Mount, Gilead, Ohio and Ron (Jean) Irons,
She was preceded in death by her second husband Charles M Tharp in 1970, her first husband Walter C. Moon in 2003, three sisters; Donna Jones, JoAnn Singrey, and Mary Starkey, and two brothers; Thomas Park and Bud Park.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Gilead, Ohio. Services will be held there on Thursday at 11:00 am with Pastor Jerry Mathias officiating. Burial will follow in Rivercliff Cemetery.
