Hazel M. Cramner, age 67, of Mount Gilead, died Thursday morning, February 26, 2009, at the Laurels of Mount Vernon.

She was born near Prospect, Ohio on January 25, 1942, the daughter of the late Richard W. Cramner and Reta M. Spaulding. Hazel graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the Class of 1959.

For many years, Hazel enjoyed cooking meals for everyone in the Morrow County Community at the Leaf Restaurant and the Iron Skillet before she retired in 2000

In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and playing guitar.

Hazel truly enjoyed living life and all it had to offer.

Hazel will be missed by her son, Eddie (Teresa) Organ of Columbus; three daughters: Angela (Dave) Bennett of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tammy (Dave) Riel and Cheryl (Roger) Starmer, both of Mount Vernon; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four sisters: Mary Russo of Florida, Darlene DeBoard of Marion, Reta (Charles) Ramey of Georgia, Becky Simpson of Mount Gilead; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Bunker; and two step-fathers: Walter Spaulding and Jim Bunker.

Hazel’s family will observe graveside inurnment services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, in Meeker Cemetery, State Route 309, west of Marion, with Pastor Ed Colegrove officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead.
