MANSFIELD: Hazel Belle Adkins, 79, of Mansfield passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010 in Mansfield MedCentral hospital.

Born July 15, 1930 in Nitro, West Virginia, Hazel was the daughter of James and Mary (Harper) Harris.

Hazel married William J. Adkins, together the two celebrated 40 years of marriage. Her family came first. Hazel’s focus was caring for her husband and children.

Content and easy to please, Hazel enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles and sewing quilts.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Mark Perry of Mansfield; sons and daughters-in-law Jim and Robin Adkins of Mansfield, Bill and Bonnie Adkins of Mansfield, and Don Adkins of Mansfield; two grandchildren Emily Adkins and Collena Hughes; step-grandchildren Mark and Brian Perry; step great grandchildren Madison, Mark, and Maleah Perry; sister Belva Robinson of Hurricane, West Virginia.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers James, Dennis, Luther and Thomas Harris, and her sister Elva Turley.

In honoring Hazel’s wishes, there will be no public funeral services.

Burial will be held in Bellville Cemetery.

The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is assisting the Adkins family with arrangements.
