Harvey Kevin Tapp, 35, of Delaware passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning July, 21, 2012 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident while traveling for work in Jackson, Tennessee. He was born August 21, 1976 in Delaware and was a field technician for Benjamin Custom Builders, LLC of Delaware. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and also wrote some of his own songs. He was a very talented person who never seemed to have a bad day and was always happy and smiling. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Rebecca (Mark) Rucker of Cardington; son, Tabon of Delaware; 4 brothers, Brandon (Holly) Richardson of Ashley, Justin Richardson of Delaware, Cody Rucker of Delaware, and Jason Rucker of Marengo; sister, Michelle Ramsey of West Jefferson; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Gregory Tapp, maternal grandparents Harvey and Carrie Phelps, uncle Gregory Phelps, and aunt Barbara Jean Phelps. The family will receive friends on Thursday July 26th from 10:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware. Burial will be at a later date in Marlborough Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or the American Cancer Society.
