Harry T. Jackson, Jr., 80, formerly of 350 Bennett Drive, Galion, died Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Atwood Manor Nursing Center in Galion.

Born November 21, 1923 in Lorain, he was the son of the late Harry T. Jackson, Sr. and Helen A. Jameson Jackson.

He moved to Galion in 1932 from Lorain. He graduated from Galion High School in 1942 and served with the U. S. Army during World War II. He managed the Texaco station, on the south west corner of South Boston Street and Harding Way West, in Galion and retired from Colonel Crawford High School in 1986 where he was a custodian.

He was a member of Galion Lodge No. 414 Free and Accepted Masons; Moose Lodge No. 303; V.F.W Post No. 4329 and American Legion Scarbrough Post No. 243, in Galion.

Surviving are two nieces and their husbands, Susan and Neil Cutler of Corrales, N.M. and Patricia and Louis Baudoin of Albuquerque, N.M. and two nephews and their wives, James L. and Debbie Jackson of Simi, Calif. and Bill T. and Nancy Jackson of Bakersfield, Calif.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, George William and Virginia Jackson a sister Mary Jean.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, with Rev. Gary Proietti officiating. Burial will be next to his mother at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
