Harry R. Van Breemen, age 80, of Sycamore Road, Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 13, 1931 in Brighton, Michigan to the late Paul V. and Katherine (Randall) Van Breemen. Harry served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia (Duguid) Van Breemen, a son, Daniel Van Breemen of Gladewater, Texas, six daughters, Susan Vernon of Centerburg, Julie Van Breemen of Mount Vernon, Diane (Ed) Kent of Warsaw, Denise (Jeff) Krauskopf of Alexandria, Debra (Frank) Wells of Mount Vernon and Linda (Scott) Tarrh of Walhonding, ten grandchildren, Kimberly Conkey, Melissa Vernon, Andrew Jordan, Michael Kent, Dustin Kent, Carissa Carpenter, Jeremy Carpenter, Colby Tarrh, Cassidy Tarrh and Dylan Tarrh, five great grandchildren and his canine companion Peppy.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, David Van Breeman, two brothers, Paul Van Breeman, Richard Van Breemen, two sisters, Carol Teachworth and Betty Parker.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where friends may call two hours prior. Mr. Rick Lumbatis will be officiating. Burial will follow in Brandon Cemetery.
