Harry R. McCarron

BELLVILLE: Harry R. McCarron, age 76, of North Main Street, Bellville, died Friday morning, March 14, 2003 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a long illness.
Harry was born August 24, 1926 in Mansfield to Otho and Helen (Long) McCarron, was graduated from Bellville High School with the class of 1944 and was a life long area resident.
He was employed as a salvage repairman by General Motors in Ontario, retiring with 32 years of service. Harry was known as a Jack of all trades.
A WWII Army veteran, he served with the 23rd Infantry Division in Ft. Lewis, Washington. He was a member of Irvin Hiskey Post #535 American Legion, Bellville, AMVETS Post #43, Bellville, and 40 et 8 in Mansfield.
He is survived by his wife Elanda (Boyce) McCarron whom he married August 27, 1948; a son and daughter-in-law Harry L., Jr. and Kimberly McCarron; a daughter and son-in-law Glenda and Jerry Viderman all of Bellville; two grandchildren Stacy Viderman and Jason Reed; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons John Roy McCarron and Joseph McCarron; and his twin brothers Robert and Dick McCarron.
A graveside committal service with military honors conducted by Irvin Hiskey Post #535 American Legion will be held Tuesday March 18, 2003 at 11 am in Bellville Cemetery. Pastor Ted Evans will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Township-Bellville Rescue Squad.
