Harold Thomas Alicie, age 63, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday September 25, 2013 at his residence. He was born on February 6, 1950 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Joe and Ella (Lewis) Alicie. Harold worked at Chattanooga Glass and was recently retired from Rolls-Royce. He was also the co-owner of Young’s Drive-in in Mount Vernon.

He enjoyed hunting, gold panning and playing euchre with friends. Harold loved being around his grandchildren and would do anything to help people out.

He is survived by a daughter, Dawn (Henry) Wilson; a son, James “Stephen” Alicie; 6 grandchildren, Laura (Bryan) St. Clair, Victoria Shisler, Shawn Thomas Alicie, Mercedes Wilson, Brad Wilson and Rachel Wilson; great-granddaughter, Charlotte St. Clair; two brothers, Bobbie Alicie and Donald (Cheryl) Alicie; a sister, Aleta “Sis” Young; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents Harold is preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin Alicie, Lawrence Alicie and baby brother; two sisters, Juanita Alicie and Cynthia Alicie.

Friends may call from 3pm to 6 pm on Tuesday October 1, 2013, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Homes; 201 Newark Rd. with a funeral service starting at 6 pm with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
