Harold Blake Sr., age 77, of Delaware died late Monday evening, January, 19, 2004 at Grady Memorial Hospital.

He was born on October 31, 1926 in Piketon, Ohio to the late George and Martha (Tolliver) Blake. He graduated from Worthington High School Class of 1944 and was a member of the football and basketball teams. A US Air Force veteran and retired from Western Electric, where he worked as a tester. He was also a self employed businessman and a fan of all sports.

Survived by his wife of 54 years; Della (Cole) whom he married November 20, 1949, Daughters: Marlene Blake Fain and Kenee (Rico) Moore all of San Diego, CA, Sons; Harold Blake Jr. of Modesto, CA, Byron Blake of Delaware, 4 Grandchildren; Valerie Fain, Tracy (Michael) Johnson, Eric Fain, Erica Wynn, 3 Great-grandchildren; Alexis Wooten, Trason Johnson, Micha Johnson, Brother: George (Florence) Blake of Worthington, Sister: Mary (Faye) Walker of Worthington, other family members and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, a son; Taban Blake on April 29, 2000, and a brother; Henry Blake.

Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral services to be held Friday 1:00 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware, Elder Lawrence Shepherd officiating.
