Harold E. “Hal” Hollis, 77, of Galion passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Galion Pointe.

He was born June 19, 1939 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio and was the son of John H. and Mary E. (Smith) Hollis.

Hal served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and was self-employed. He was a people person and was a member of the Owls Club in Galion. Hal enjoyed working and selling at Flea Markets.

He is survived by children Erick Efaw of Cleveland, TN, Todd Efaw of Athens, TN and Shaunda Efaw of Cleveland, TN; four grandchildren Austin, Justin, Victoria and Micah Efaw; brother Richard (Marcia) Hollis of Galion; sister Edrena Nolan of Buffalo, Kentucky; nieces Pam Hollis and Trina Vallian; nephews John and Chuck Hollis and Andy Nolan and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son Wayne Hurst.

No services will be held.
