Harold Bradford Phillips, beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, December 9, 2015.

He was born in Mt.Vernon, Ohio on August 29, 1937, the son of the late Richard and Frances (Sharp) Phillips.

Harold was a 1956 graduate of Fredericktown High School. He served his country for 30 years with the Army National Guard, and worked for Rollins Truck Leasing as a diesel mechanic. Harold was a member of Grace Baptist Church, the Moose, and a former member of the Eagles. He was an avid fan of all sports. He loved traveling around to watch harness racing, was a fantastic bowler, and enjoyed playing euchre and coaching little league in his earlier years.

Harold is survived by his wife of 16 years, Carol (Howard) Phillips; three daughters, Cindy (Doug) Patrick of Delaware, Candy (Jerry Long) Phillips of Marengo, and Dr. Cathy (Garlin) Baack of Warrensville Heights, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Dani, Jennifer, Megan, Justin, Jami, Ray, Katie, Denise, and Belinda; four great grandchildren, Ian, Jacob, Darren, and Alexis; six siblings, Paul (Marcella) Phillips, Herb (Linda) Phillips, Barb (Mark) Bond, Mary Erwin, Nancy Cline, and Deb (Jeff) Berger; and step-sons, Dean and Chris Hooper.

In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by siblings, Roger Phillips and Rachael Garber; step-daughter, Teresa McKean; grandsons, Emanuel C. Patrick and Douglas C. Patrick II; and great granddaughter, Bailey K. Adkins.

Visitation will be held at Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center at 11:00 am with Pastor John Herdman officiating. Burial will follow at Green Mound Cemetery in Kilbourne.

      I’m so sorry for your loss. I have many memories at your house as a child and your dad was a part of it. I always remember being intrigued with his bowling ball and bowling Shirts. He looked sharply dressed on game night. He will be greatly missed!
