Gwen Eilene Jones Goulet-Rogers died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Marion Manor, Marion, Ohio. She had previously lived at Kingston Residence of Marion for the past three years. Gwen was born August 18, 1933, in Delaware County to Rossford and Grace Thompson Jones. She graduated from Radnor High School in 1951 and from The Ohio State University in 1955. Gwen worked at The Ohio State University and then moved to Sarasota, Florida, in 1969. In Florida Gwen was an accountant, eventually establishing her own accounting and tax preparation business. On May 31, 1985, Gwen married Emanuel Rogers. He preceded her in death in 2000. In addition to her accounting, Gwen did excellent needle point work and knitted many beautiful sweaters. She volunteered to restore old needle point work for the Ringling Brothers Museum in Sarasota, Florida. Gwen is survived by her sister, Joyce (Jay) Roberts of Waldo, Ohio, and their sons Ross of North Carolina and Luke (Connie) of Radnor. She is also survived by Emanuel’s children, Lori (George) Rodman of Ostrander and Mark (Mary) of London, Ohio, and step-grandchildren Ross and Rachel Rodman. In addition to her husband, Gwen was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may greet the family from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, March 22nd at Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware, with a service of rememberance to follow at 8:00 PM. It was Gwen’s wish to be laid to rest in warm & sunny Florida.
