Grace R. Hines, age 67 of Delaware died Saturday evening, April 2, 2005 at the home of her son following a courageous battle against Leukemia.

She was born on September 1, 1937 in Delaware to the late Grover and Clara (Shannon) Keys. A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Ashley High School Class of 1955 and completed 4 years of Business at “The Ohio State University”. For the past 25 years she has worked in various capacities for PPG in Delaware. She was also a former realtor with Metzger Brothers Real Estate formerly of Delaware.

An avid OSU Buckeye fan, she truly enjoyed all forms of sports and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. The way she lived her life best described her, a woman of integrity. Grace always put the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed playing euchre, working with her friends and loved her pets. She was a member of St. Mary Church and an avid supporter of world organizations that fund those in need. She was very proud of her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survived by sons: Brad Hines and Wife Dee of Delaware, Douglas Hines and wife Jenise of Delaware and 8 Grandchildren: Jillian and Tara Hines of Henderson Nevada, Olivia, Brady, Amanda, Courtney, Madison and Nichol all from Ohio. Sisters: Evelyn Adams of Delaware, Virgie Fisher of Bay City, MI, and Mary Martin of Huntsville, AL.

Also she was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years: Gerald Hines on Feb. 3, 1977, Daughter: Cathy Logue in 1988. Sister: Cathy Sark and Brothers: Leonard and Cliff Keys.

Friends may call Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Daniel Maurer officiating. Burial will follow in Ashley Union Cemetery.
