Grace Danals of Perrysville, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, June 1, 2021.  Grace was born on April 2, 1930, in Newville, Ohio.  She was the daughter of Charles and Thelma McKee Toms.  She shared her childhood with two sisters, Ruth Toms Cowen and Lucille Toms Ullman, and three brothers, Edward Toms, Glen Toms, and Robert Toms.

Grace graduated in 1947 from Perrysville High School.  She enrolled at Mansfield School of Nursing but became homesick.  Returning home, she was then employed at the Flxible Company in the funeral section.  In 1949, she went to work at Mansfield Sanitary Pottery in the departments of brass sales, advertising, and marketing.  She retired in 1994 with 45 years of service.

After retirement, Grace learned the art of rug hooking.  She has made many pieces for framing, floor rugs, and furniture coverings.  Many family members enjoyed receiving these gifts.

Grace was a member of the United Methodist Church in Perrysville, Ohio, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Auxiliary #8586 Perrysville, Ohio, and a member of Ruth Chapter #17 order of the Eastern Star, Mansfield, Ohio.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Smith Martin of Perrysville, two sons, Stuart (Debra), Danals, and Sidney (April) Danals of Loudonville.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Wilbur LJ Danals, her parents, sister Ruth Cowen and brothers Edward, Robert, and Glen Toms, and grandson Preston Smith.

Grace was blessed with 6 grandchildren Bryan (Wendy) Zody, Trevor (Jessie) Smith, Preston (Chelsea)Smith, Brandon Danals, Brandt (Allison) Danals, and Mason Myers.  Great-grandchildren, Mariah Wirt, Justin Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Rebecca Boone, Reece Smith, Nolan Smith, Jameson Smith, and Dilyn Grace Danals arriving in July, and great-great-grandchildren Addi Wirt and Jeremiah Wirt.

A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 1 pm with Pastor Howdie Burnett officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Methodist Church, c/o Tammy Kline, 2724 County Road 967, Perrysville OH 44864 or the Perrysville Firefighters Association, 181 E. 3rd Street, Perrysville OH 44864.
