  • Mary Ann, Billy, & Robert, sorry for your lost. Losing two so close together makes it even harder to deal with. Audry’s mom died five months after he did. During his viewing she has in the ICU with a heart attack. Part of the family was at the hospital with her and part was at the funeral services. It was just to much for me. God helped me through it, but it was the hardest thing I ever went through. We are praying for you.

Gordie graduated with us in 1972 and will always be remember as a great guy! He was good to everyone and lived a good life, leaving behind a legacy for his children and grandchildren ,as an example of integrity and good character, to continue in their lives. This will bring honor to his name and the life he lived.
May God also surround you with his love.

  • To the Helton family…I am so sorry for your loss of Gordon and also Minnie. I did not know that Minnie had passed. My Mother, Juanita Beaver knew Minnie her whole life. She babysat for Minnie when Minnie was a little girl. They remained friends ever after. My Mom died 28 years ago. I met Gordon once when we were young teens, but unfortunately did not know him well. My heart goes out to your family in your sorrow

  • Gordon was a student in my 8th grade American History class during my first year as a teacher. I remember him well and have great memories of him. He was fun to be around as a student and football manager. He will be missed by all. I pray that God will bless all you family members and give you comfort.

  • I am so sorry to hear of Gordon’s passing. I was in his high school class and haven’t seen him since then, but I remember him well. He was a very sweet boy, and I can imagine he grew into a good man.

I hope the family takes comfort in the loving memories I’m sure you all have of him.

    Wishing you peace,
    Marilyn (Doyle) Dittoe
