March 19, 1951 ‒ September 18, 2020
Lexington, Ohio
Gordon “Gordy” Givens born March 19, 1951 in Mansfield, Ohio. Gordy with deep sadness passed unexpectedly September 18, 2020.
Gordon is survived by his wife Jill Givens (Angelini), daughter Mindy (Ryan) Columbus, Son Thomas Stevens and wife, granddaughter Raygen Robles, great grandchildren Killian and Koen, mother Helen Givens, sister Brenda (Clyde) Coe, brother John (wife) Brenda Givens, and nephews Ryan Coe and Daniel Coe.
He is preceded in death by his father Fleatis Givens.
Gordon graduated from Madison High School in 1969. He went on to become an engineer for Telecommunications. Gordon enjoyed golfing, riding his Harley, grilling out, making people laugh, spending time with family and friends, caring for his dog Austin and cat Poco.
Gordon had quick wit that could make anyone laugh and smile. Which made him liked by many, but he liked very few, so there will be no services because of you.
He will be missed but always remembered by his Family and friends.

Jill,
I know that Gordy did not like many, but I am proud to say that dad was one of the ones that he liked. Now they are both somewhere partying and laughing again. These next few years won’t be easy, but know that your friends are always here for you.
Forever your friend,
Erin
Mindy,
My name is Erin. Gordy and my dad, Jim Underwood, were very close friends. My dad passed away 4 years ago this month and Gordy sent a condolence like I know my dad would do for him. Wherever they are I can assure you that neither one of them is in any pain and they are enjoying the hell out of each others company again.
I am so very sorry for your loss,
Erin

We are very sad to lose our Son-in-law Gordy Givens. We can say without a DOUBT he loved our DAUGHTER JILL, his daughter Mindy, his granddaughter Raygen and his great grandchilden. He was a husband that did laundry and did most of the cooking. Jill could sit down with him and have long conversations…He was in his own way ONE OF A KIND…..We enjoyed having lunches with him, he always made a point to come see us and we looked forward to our visits. We could see him having health problems but his death was a surprise. You will be so missed Gordy. We Love You ..Joyce and John

We are so saddened by the loss of Gordy. He was always a ray of sunshine to us. Nobody could make us laugh like him. He will be truly missed by many, even though as you said, he didn’t like many. You are in our prayers
