Glen E. Robertson, age 75, of Mount Vernon Ave., Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 22, 1939 in Fort Gay, West Virginia to the late Frank Robertson and Maysie (Thompson) Webb. Glen served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 and retired in 1995 from AK Steel in Mansfield.

Glen was a member of the Venus Lodge #152 F&AM and Fusion Ministry of Lexington, Ohio. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his vegetable garden and prospecting for gold. Glen was a member of the Gold Prospectors Association of America and the Lost Dutchman Mining Association. His love for prospecting had taken him to Alaska in years past. Glen was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joyce (Hopkins) Robertson, four children, Glen (Kris) Robertson of Anderson, South Carolina, Dela (Chuck) Glesner of Marion, Indiana, Jeffrey (Teresa) Robertson of Bellville and Kristina Robertson of North Bergon, New Jersey, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Robertson, Elmer Ray Robertson and Frank Robertson, a sister, Maryetta Davis.

Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, 33 E. College Street, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019 where a masonic service will begin at 3 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor James Streib officiating. Burial with military honors will follow the service in Oak Grove Memorial Park in Lexington. A fellowship will follow the burial at Fusion Ministry, 222 Industrial Drive, Lexington, Ohio 44904.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or Samaritans for Senior’s and can be left at the funeral home.

I’m sorry for his passing and that i couldn’t be there and just want to say my thoughts are with her and her family.
